  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I do reside upon my Living, but not in the Vicarage House. As I am unmarried, I find Boarding more convenient. I live in the principal Street in the Town, which leads to the Church, and is at least as near to it, as the Vicarage House. I have no Lecturer.

  2. Other benefices: I have no other Benefice.

  3. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform divine Service in any other Church but my own, unless upon any particular Occasion.

  4. Frequency of divine service: I perform Divine Service in my Church twice on the Lord's day, Sermon both morning & afternoon, besides the general weekly Duty.

  5. Frequency of communion: The Sacrament of the Lords Supper is administered nine Times every Year. The Number of Communicants in general at each Sacrament are between forty & fifty.

  6. Catechising of children: The Custom of my Parish for catechising the youth is in Lent.

  7. Church fabric: The Church & Chancel are in good Repair; The North-wall of the Church Yard is greatly gone to decay. All things for divine Service are decent.

  8. Glebe terrier: No Terrier can be found in the Parish Chest; If one is not to be found in your Lordships Registry, I will take Care one shall be exhibited at ye Visitation.

  9. Number of families: My parish is supposed to contain near three hundred Families.

  10. Chapels: There is no Chapel belonging to my Parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: I do not know there are any Papists within my Parish. One Presbyterian meeting House, the Teachers Name is Moore. One licensed for Quakers, the Speakers are various.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There is a publick School under the Direction of Trustees, I beleive <it> to be properly conducted. There is no Alms House, Hospital, parochial Library or other charitable Endowment.

  13. Charity: I have not heard that there are any Lands, or Tenements or other Benefactions left for charitable uses.

    Priest's orders and institution: I was ordained Priest by the Bishop of Bath & Wells the sixth of July one thousand seven hundred & sixty six and instituted to the Vicarage of Modbury the twenty-seventh Day of December one thousand seven hundred and seventy five. My Letters are directed for me at Modbury. I am your Lordships dutifull Servant.
