  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I reside, at present in Lower Brookstreet & have double Duty in the parish of St George, Hanover Square. There is a resident Curate at Meavy. I believe Licenced [Entered in the margin: Mr Palmer who has been Curate, I believe, about thirty Years] - Salary thirty five pounds - with Tythe of Pigs, Honey, & Geese. - No Lecturer. - I raised the Glebe, which the Curate rents, I think three pounds ten <shillings> & then increased his Salary five pounds.

  2. Other benefices: I have the Rectory of Kedleston, near Derby.

  3. Divine service at other churches: The resident Curate at Meavy does no other Duty.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Twice a day on the Lord's day - Sermon in the morning.

  5. Frequency of communion: Four times I believe in the year increased last Autumn from about twenty to about fifty.

  6. Catechising of children: I catechised them last year in the Autumn. The Curate uses his own Discretion about the time.

  7. Church fabric: I was at considerable expence last year in repairing the Chancel & House - both which are in good Repair. The Church in pretty good condition. Church yard well kept. All things decent for divine service I believe.

  8. Glebe terrier: The inclosed is a {I have a } Copy of the Terrier of the Glebe lands, Houses &c from the Registrar at Exeter {some years ago} in the year 1772.

  9. Number of families: There are several Hamlets in the parish - I cannot tell the number of Families exactly, but I think about forty or a few over.

  10. Chapels: No Chapel within the parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: I believe there are no Papists - no meeting House - very few, if any, dissenters - I was last Year at every House I believe - one or two only excepted.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: No Alms-Houses, Hospital, or charitable Endowment <I belive>. A poor Woman teaches a few poor Children. I proposed last year to employ a School mistress & offer'd my Contribution - no parochial Library.

  13. Charity: Not that I know of. I believe none.
