  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: The Revd, Edward Michell, Vicar of Churchstow with Kingsbridge does not reside on the Vicarage - but at Bruton in Somersetshire, where he is Master of the Grammar School - I his Curate, reside in this Town of Kingsbridge, for which I have a Salary of £40 a Year & the Surplice Fees - there is a Lecturer at this Church - The Revd Richd Marshall, Rector of South Pool, near this place - is paid £50 a year from Estates left in trust for that purpose.

  2. Other benefices: This is answered from Churstow.

  3. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform Divine Service at any Church besides my own.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is performed twice on the Lord's Day, one sermon by the Vicar or his Curate & the other by the Lecturer.

  5. Frequency of communion: Th[e] Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, is administered, Four Several Times in the Year - there are about 40 Communicants.

  6. Catechising of children: The youth are catechized during the Summer Season.

  7. Church fabric: The Church & Chancel is in good Repair - the Church yard well kept - & all things decent for divine Service - excepting the communion Table & railing round it.

  8. Glebe terrier: There are no Glebe Lands, or Houses, &c, to this parish, it being only a chapel of ease to Churstow.

  9. Number of families: In this Parish there are about 130 Families.

  10. Chapels: There is no Chapel within this Parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: There are no reputed Papists in this Parish - but several meeting Houses for Dissenting Congregations - Vizt - 1 Presbyterian - the teachers name - William Evans - 1, Anabaptist - the teachers name Evan Davies - & 1 Quakers.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There are 4 Schools in this Parish - Vizt.
    1. [&] 2. A Publick Grammar School [&] A small writing School: these two were left by Thomas Crispin - with Lands & Houses for the support of the masters in the hands of several trustees.
    3. A small reading school, founded by Wm Duncombe who left Estates in trust for the pay of this school & the Lectureship.
    4. A Quakers School - founded by Daniel Phillips with a good house & endowment. There is an almshouse - but no Hospital, or other charitable endowment. There is a parochial Library in very good condition.

  13. Charity: There are no Lands, or other Benefactions, that have been left for any pious & charitable uses.
