Revd the Minister of Ide

  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I do reside personally upon my Cure & in my parsonage house. - I have a temporary lecture maintain'd by a voluntary donation.

  2. Other benefices: I have no more than one Benefice.

  3. Divine service at other churches: I perform divine service at no Church besides my own.

  4. Frequency of divine service: I perform Divine service in my Church twice on the Lord's day with a sermon each part of the day.

  5. Frequency of communion: The sacrament of the Lord's is administered once every month, & I have generally about forty communicants, Xmas & Easter between seventy & eighty.

  6. Catechising of children: The accustomed time for catechising the youth of my parish is Lent.

  7. Church fabric: My Church & Chancel are in good repair, Church-yard well kept, & I have all things decent for divine service.

  8. Glebe terrier: I have no Terrier, I have besides the house & garden only one little meadow about an acre, which was part of an Estate in this parish, but was bought & given to the house by Mr Tuthill who was Curate of this parish.

  9. Number of families: I have in my parish about one hundred and fourteen families.

  10. Chapels: I have no Chapel within my parish.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: I have no reputed papists in my parish, nor any meeting-houses for Dissenting congregations.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: We have a School in the parish, where the poorer sort of children are taught to read, but no publick school, Alms-house, hospital or other Charitable Endowment, or any parochial library.

  13. Charity: We have the sum of two pounds twelve shillings to be disposed of weekly in bread which is duly applied, but no lands or tenements or any other benefactions.

    Priest's orders and institution: Wm H: Carrington appointed to the <perpetual> cure of Ide the fifth day of October in the year one Thousand seven hundred & seventy Eight, Ordained priest the twentieth day of September one <thousand> seven hundred & seventy eight.
