  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: The Vicarage House is ye Place of my constant Residence. No Curate, no Lecturer. I discharge all ye Parochial Duties in ye best manner I am able. I am punctual in this, however deficient I may be found in other Respects.

  2. Other benefices: I have a small Rectory in ye Diocese of Bath & Wells about six Miles from Burlescombe.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Twice, except ye months of Novembr December & January. A Sermon every Morning.

  5. Frequency of communion: Four Times every year to about thirty or forty Communicants.

  6. Catechising of children: In ye longest Days of ye year from Easter till near Michaelmas.

  7. Church fabric: All Things are done decently & kept in good Order.

  8. Glebe terrier: I have never heard of a Terrier & I believe it wou'd be very difficult to get one regularly & properly executed.

  9. Number of families: About an hundred.

  10. Chapels: Washford Chapel is very antient, served by me ye first Sunday in ye month not as Vicar. I am nominated by ye Sanfords of Nynehead Court Somerset; heirs of Ayshford. A small Stipend from the Crown & fifteen Pounds from ye Heirs of Ayshford {yearly}

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: Answered in ye Negative to every Particular.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: None

  13. Charity: The Vicarage is entitld Queen Anne's Bounty; not being able to meet with a convenient Purchase I receive £8 per Annum to ye Shame & Scandal of ye Governors. I often complain'd to ye late Bishop but cou'd never get any Redress.

    Priest's orders and institution: I was ordain'd Priest 1734; instituted to ye Vicarage of Burlescombe 1767.
