  1. Population and dissenters: The number of Families in Shipwash Parish and Town are threescore and one There are three families of dissenters in ye Town Presbiterians.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is none.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is none.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do reside in my Vicarage house of Shebbear of which Shipwash is a daugher church.

  5. Curate: I serve my cures myself.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Shipwash being a daughter Church to Shebbear is served once every Lords day in ye Summer, and once in a fortnight in ye winter, it being four miles distant from Shebbear and a very bad road.

  8. Frequency of communion: Thrice {at Christm} to wit ye Sunday after Christmas, ye Sunday after Easter, and Trinity Sunday.

  9. Number of communicants: I know not how many Communicants there are in ye Parish. The number of those who usually receive are between thirty and forty. And (I beleive) there were between forty and fifty who communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: I do catechize ye children on Sundays after ye second lesson in ye afternoon in ye Summer. Some of ye Parishioners do send their children to be instructed and some do not.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: I have no chapels within my Parish (except Shipwash a Chapel or daughter Church) which I serve myself, and which is distant from Shebbear four miles.
