  1. Population and dissenters: 84. There is not one Dissenter in ye Parish of any Denomination.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no Publick or Charity School in ye Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms-house, Hospital, but there is a Charitable Endowment {given by Mrs Mary Hutchins of ten Pound &} of ten Pound <given> by ye Revd: Mr Samll: Role to ye use of ye Poor. There are no Lands left for ye Repair of ye Church.

  4. Residence upon cure: I am Chaplain to ye Right Honble: Robert Lord Walpole, & Live with him in Norfolk.

  5. Curate: I have a Curate his name is Holland Coham. He is qualified according to ye Canons. He does not live in ye Parsonage House. I allow forty Pounds a year. He lives with his Father in another Parish two miles from Petrockstow, because he has endeavoured but can find no Suitable entertainment with any Person in either Parish of Merton or Petrockstow.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I Perform Divine Service in no Church but my own.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is Performed on Sundays & Holydays in my Church with a Sermon in ye Morning.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament is administred four times in ye year.

  9. Number of communicants: There are fifty Communicants. Ye greatest Part of Whom usually receive. Last Easter there were Thirty.

  10. Catechising of children: From ye begining of Lent to ye end of August ye Children are Catechiz’d.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: I have no Chapel at all.
