  1. Population and dissenters: About a hundred. No dissenters.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is an endowment of about five pounds a year to buy Books & pay for the teaching of poor children who are instructed in the principles of the Christian Religion.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is a charitable endowment. the vicar & certain feofees are directors of it. Mr Tapson & [illegible deletion] Widdecome are the present feofees. I know of no abuse in the management of it.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside at Ashburton, with the leave of my late Diocesan & teaching a School there.

  5. Curate: My Curate's name is Alexander Laskey. He resides at Ashburton. I pay him thirty pounds a year. He has a Licence.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I serve the cure of Ashburton.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays with a Sermon in the forenoon & afternoon.

  8. Frequency of communion: At Christmas, Easter, Whitsuntide & Michaelmas.

  9. Number of communicants: On Easter day about fifty, on the Sunday following Sunday [sic] more.

  10. Catechising of children: On Sundays in the Summer Season.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: No Chapel.
