  1. Population and dissenters: There are in the Parish of Ideford fifty-four Families. There are only Two Dissenters, ye one a Roman Catholick, ye other a Presbyterian. There is no Meeting-House for Dissenters within ye Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no publick Charity School in ye Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no almshouse, or Hospital in ye Parish, and there is only one Benefaction, of 20 Shillings per annum, which is given for the Benefit of such poor Persons, as do not receive weekly Pay, and is annualy paid, (out of a certain Estate within ye Parish) on Mandy Thursday.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do not reside personally on my cure, but with my Father, in the Parish of Kingsteinton, a little more than a Mile from the Parish Church of Ideford. There is no Place in the Parish, where I can possibly board.

  5. Curate: My yearly Allowance is 30 Pounds.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform divine Service at any Church besides my own, unless it be to assist a neighbouring Clergyman on any particular occasion.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform'd in my Church twice evry Lord's Day, with a Sermon both in the Morning, and Afternoon, thro'out the year. Prayers are constantly read on Saints Days, on Wednesdays, and Frydays in Lent, in Passion Week &c.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administred on Easter Day, and the Sunday following, on Whitsunday, on Michaelmas Day, and on Christmas Day.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about one Hundred, and Thirty Communicants, within the Parish. between Thirty, and Forty usually receive, there were at the Sacrament last Easter Day upwards of Fifty.

  10. Catechising of children: The Usual Time for Catechizing the Children in the church begins immediately after the Second Lesson <on Sundays in ye afternoon>. The Season of the Year when they are catechiz'd, commences at Easter, and continues for most part of the Summer. The Parishioners are very diligent in sending their Children to be catechiz'd.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chappel in the Parish, either standing, or in Ruins.
