  1. Population and dissenters: There are in this Parish one hundred & forty Families; of which seven are Dissenters; such as are commonly distinguished by the Name of Presbyterians. There is a licenced Meeting House. The Teacher’s Name – Isaac Clark.

  2. Public or charity schools: Yes.
    There is a Free School with a Small Endowment for the Instructions of ten Boys in reading, writing, & casting Accounts. The Master carefully instructs them in the Catechism of the Church of England, & they are brought to Church duly & regularly.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms house or Hospital.
    There are Tenements left for the Repairs of the Church to the Yearly Value of about ten Pounds, The Direction of those Benefactions is vested in the Hands of the Church Wardens for the Time being: forever.

  4. Residence upon cure: No. I reside in my Parsonage House belonging to the Portion of Tidcomb in the Church of Tiverton.

  5. Curate: I have a Residing Curate: his Name is Francis Fisher who is duly qualified according to the Canons, and lives in my Parsonage House, his Allowance is thirty five Pounds a Year, with the Surplice Fees annexed.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is performed in this Church always twice on the Lord’s Day, and on Holidays, excepting in the Case of Sickness, or other Reasonable Impediment.

  8. Frequency of communion: Generally, once in every Month.

  9. Number of communicants: The number of Communicants is generally about twenty. About forty communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are constantly catechiz’d publickly in the Church on Sundays, during the Summer Season. The Parishioners have never sent either their Children or Servants to be instructed by me in the Catechism.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is an Ancient Chappel in Ruins dedicated to St Martin about a Mile distant from the Parish Church.
