  1. Population and dissenters: There are in the Parish of Bigbury about sixty Families – Dissenters, none.

  2. Public or charity schools: Publick or Charity School none.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: Charitable endowment none.

  4. Residence upon cure: [No answer given]

  5. Curate: I have a resident Curate, duly qualified. His name, Dingle. He lives at his own House in the Parish of Bigbury. I allow him thirty Pounds per annum and the Perquisites.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is performed on Holy days and on the Lords day Morning and afternoon with a Sermon.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lords Supper is administred four times in the year viz: at Christmas {Ladyday} Easter, Whitsunday and at Michaelmas.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about Fifty Communicants who usually receive. At Easter last twenty four.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are Catechized constantly at Midsmumer just before Harvest.

  1. Population and dissenters: There are about 58 small Families in this Parish, one of which is a Quaker's. There is no meeting house blessed be God in it.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no publick nor Charity School endow'd, or otherwise maintain'd in this Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Alms-house, Hospital, nor Charitable endowment in this Parish. An annual Benefaction of one pound is given to the Poor, which I'm satisfied, is duly applied by the Church=wardens.

  4. Residence upon cure: The Reverend Doctor John Finney is the Rector of this Parish. The Doctor sometimes resides in his parsonage-house. But he is at present in London. I lie two, or three nights of a week in the Parsonage=house, & spend a great part of my time in the Parish, the Remainder thereof I am with my aged Father.

  5. Curate: My name is Thomas Freke. I am licens'd to the Cure, and am allow'd £35 a year for serving it.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not perform Divine Service in any other Church, unless requested by my aged Father, which is usually one part of a Sunday in a month.

  7. Frequency of divine service: I perform Divine service on Sundays with a Sermon in the forenoon, & afternoon, and on all Holy Days, when a congregation attends.

  8. Frequency of communion: I administer the <Holy> Sacrament <of the Lord's Supper> four times a year viz: On Easter, Whitsunday, Michaelmas, & Christmas.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about 35 Communicants in this Parish. 20 usually receive.
    I believe about that number Communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: I generally begin to Catechise <the Children & Servants> the first Sunday after Trinity, & continue Catechising & expounding on the Catechism, as long as any are sent me.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel within, or belonging to this Parish.
