Chanter 225A, 37-38

  1. Population and dissenters: We have in our Parish one & forty Families. of these one Family of Dissenters, of the Presbyterian sort. We have no Meeting House in our Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: We have no endowed School in our Parish only Children are taught to read & are instructed in their Catechism.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: [No answer given]

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside personally upon my Cure, and in my Parsonage House.

  5. Curate: I have no Curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I perform divine service at Northleigh for the Revd: Mr Ford one Sunday in the month, one Part of the Day only usually in the afternoon. Sometimes for a neighbour in case of sickness or absense.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform’d in our church every Lords=day twice, with a sermon both Parts of the Day except as before excepted & also once on the greater Festivals, publick Fasts & Thanksgivings.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lords Supper is administred in our church four times in the year, viz. on the three great Feasts of Christmas, Easter, and Whitsunday & on the first Sunday of October.

  9. Number of communicants: There are in our Parish about six & twenty Communicants of whom about nineteen or twenty usually receive. I think about three or four and twenty received last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: I have constantly & for every year since my Institution catechiz’d the Children of our Parish, the four, five, or six Sundays immediately following Trinity Sunday.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no Chapel within our Parish.
