Population and dissenters: In ye Parish of Washfield are about ninety Families, including the Cott Houses. I have five Dissenters only, four are Anabaptists, the other a Presbyterian, and there is no meeting House of any Sort.
Public or charity schools: There is no Charity School. The Children are instructed in ye Principles of the Christian Religion according to ye Doctrine of the Church of England by an Old Woman well qualifyed for that Purpose.
Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: We have no Alms House, or Hospital, There is a small Endowment of thirty shillings a year, which is justly distributed by the Feofees. The Church is soly repair’d by ye Parish. The Chancels by the Rector and Worth Family.
Residence upon cure: I do reside personally upon my Cure, and in ye parsonage House.
Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform’d in my Church twice every Week in Lent, every Saints Day, & every other Day appointed by Act of Parliament, unless any unforeseen accident prevents me) and twice every Lords Day, with a Sermon in the Morning and Evening.
Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lords Supper is administred four Times in the year.
Number of communicants: There are in my Parish not more than eighty Communicants of that number, not less than thirty usually receive. And at Easter last past, I remember they were forty eight.
Catechising of children: I catechize all ye Children of my Parish once every year, in ye Summer season, on Sunday evenings, and I can not remember that any Parishioner of mine ever sent a Child or servant to be privately instructed in their Catechism.
