  1. Population and dissenters: About 50ty Families – no Dissenters. Yere was one, but they now are Generally at Church. Ye Parish is but thin – consisting of a few Cot-Houses and Farms, scattered about.

  2. Public or charity schools: None.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: None.

  4. Residence upon cure: Yes. I have done it hitherto & probably may.

  5. Curate: Mr Atherton – my Curate lives in Tiverton. I allow him Five & Thirty Pounds per annum & Surplice Fees he serves Sampford Peveral.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: We have two sermons every Sunday except ye Dark Quarter at yt time one.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four times.

  9. Number of communicants: 40ty or 50ty.

  10. Catechising of children: I did propose Catechizing ye Children last Winter Quarter but was so ill yt I was not equal to ye common service being hardly ever free from an ague - when my curate catechiz’d there was about Four sent.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have a chapel about a Quarter of a mile from ye Church – which has been in ruins many years – no one remembers it otherwise.
