  1. Population and dissenters: There are about 80 Families in the parish. Of these there is not one that dissents from ye Church of England. Only there is a single perosn who professes himself of the Church of Rome. There is no licensed or other Meeting House of Dissenters in ye Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no publick nor charity school in ye parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is a House called ye Church house which is lett out for a small matter per Annum by ye church wardens or overseers, who are accountable for ye same to ye parish.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do not Reside personally upon this Cure for ye most part. When I am here, I do reside in the parsonage-house. The Reason of my not residing here is my serving another Cure. Viz, that of Exminster.

  5. Curate: I have a residing Curate. His name is Charles Clappe. He is duly qualifyed according to ye Canons in that behalf. He does live in the parsonage house. I allow him forty pounds per annum besides Easter offerings, some small Tithes & all surplice-Fees amounting in ye whole to between fifty and threescore pounds.

  6. Divine service at other churches: My Curate doth not.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine service, with a sermon both morning and afternoon is performed every Lords Day, as also twice upon great Festivals, and all Fasts; and once at least upon every other Holi[day].

  8. Frequency of communion: Four times.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about 180 Communicants. About 80 usually receive at Easter last past about 90.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are Catechized every Sunday for two months in the Summer time. The Parishioners do send their Children and servants to be catechized.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no chappel at all in the parish.
