  1. Population and dissenters: My Lord,
    I have in my Parish threescore Families there is, I bless God, no Dissenter of any denomination nor meeting house in it.

  2. Public or charity schools: The greatest part of the Inhabitants of my Parish being poor, I am so unfortuante, as to have neither publick nor Charity School in it. I endeavour to the best of my power and ability to instruct Them in the Principles of the Christian Religion according to the Doctrine of the Church of England, & exhort them duly to keep their Church.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Almshouse, Hospital, nor any Charitable Endowment in my Parish. There have been no Lands nor Tenements left for the repair of the Church, but the profits of a small Legacy for the use of the Poor who have no constant pay. The Church-warden & overseers have the direction of this Benefaction. I neither know, nor have heard of any abuse or fraud committed in the management of it.

  4. Residence upon cure: I live at Clanaborough, Your Lordship having been so good as to dispense with my nonresidence at Spreyton. I often go there weekly, and sometimes lodge in the Parish.

  5. Curate: I have no Curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: By Your Lordship’s kind indulgence, I do also perform Divine Service with a Sermon once every other Sunday at Clanaborough.

  7. Frequency of divine service: I perform Divine Service with a Sermon once every Sunday at Spreyton, & twice every other Sunday with a Sermon in the forenoon, & afternoon. I also observe all Holydays, & Fasting days & Preach as often as commanded by Authority.

  8. Frequency of communion: I administer the Holy Sacrament of the Lords supper five times a year in my Church at Spreyton, so: twice at Easter, once at Whitsuntide, Michaelmas, & Christmas.

  9. Number of communicants: I have about forty five Communicants in my Parish about thirty of them usually receive, there were about forty who Communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: I generally begin to Catechise the children of Spreyton Parish about ye Seventh Sunday after Trinity, & expound on the Church Catechism they are never sent unto me above four Sundays, tho’ I continue to call them for several. The Parishioners send their Children & servants, who have not learnt their Catechism to be instructed.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: I have no Chapel within my Parish.
