  1. Population and dissenters: My Lord,
    I have in my Parish about two hundred and forty Familys. Of these about nineteen are Presbiterians: who have a Meeting-House in ye Town, & used & hold their Repetitions at a private House, both which are licenced. But they have now no Teacher. We have no other Sort of Dissenters.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is none.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is an Alms House in the Town, held from ye Lord of ye Mannor by a yearly Acknowledgement of Sixpence, {a year}, & said to have been given for ye Liberty of ringing one of ye Church Bells for the Market. There is a Church-House upon the South Side of the Church-Yard, given by John Yeo of Reed to Feoffees, who are to be chosen by ye Old Feoffees as any number of them dye. The House to be let by the Feoffees to a yearly Rent, which the Ch[urch]-wardens to receive, & apply to ye Repair of ye Church, accounting for it with their other Accounts. And it is so applyd.

  4. Residence upon cure: I do reside in my Vicarage-House.

  5. Curate: I have never had a Curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I do not.

  7. Frequency of divine service: It is performed twice every Lords-Day with a Sermon each time: And upon Holidays in the Morning, with a Sermon upon some of the most considerable.

  8. Frequency of communion: It is administred every six weeks, & at each of the three great Seasons {two Sundays} twice following, viz on Passion-Sunday & Easter-Day, on Whitsunday & Trinity-Sunday, on Christmas-day & the Sunday after.

  9. Number of communicants: The Number of Communicants is such, that about a hundred usually receive, sometimes a hundred and twenty; at Easter last, when the number was divided, there were eighty seven on ye Easter Day, & forty four on ye Passion-Sunday.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are catechiz’d every Summer on Sundays in the Afternoon. The Parishoners send them pretty well.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no Chapel.
