  1. Population and dissenters: In my Parish are fourteen Families, two of which are Dissenters, of ye presbyterian Persuasion, there is no meeting House in ye Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no School in ye Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There is no Charitable Endowment belonging to the Parish, excepting two or three small sums of gift money, which are lodgd in good Hands & the Interest every Easter, is impartially divided among ye Poor.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside on ye vicarage of St Thomas ye Apostle.

  5. Curate: My Curate resides in Tiverton his name is John Gilberd; there is no House in Calverleigh proper to table a Gentleman in; & Tiverton is ye Parish adjoining to it. His Salary for Calverleigh & Loxbear is £35 0s 0d per Annum all ye Perquisites. He wants nothing but a License to quallifie Him for any cure in ye Church.

  6. Divine service at other churches: Divine service is performed alternately at each Church.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays and other Festivals.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four Times.

  9. Number of communicants: Seven or Eight usually receive: I believe last Easter day there were Ten Communicants.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are Catechised during ye Summer season; & ye Parishioners have sent their children & servants to be instructed before for Confirmation.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel, nor ye Ruins of any in the Parish.
