  1. Population and dissenters: There are in the Parish of Bickton Two & Twenty Families, Two of which are Presbyterians. There is no Meeting-House within the Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: No School of any sort.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: Nor Alms-House, Hospital or other charitable endowment nor are there any Lands or Tenements left for ye Repair of our church, or other pious Uses.

  4. Residence upon cure: The Rector of this Parish Resides at Forton in the Parish of Crediton.

  5. Curate: The Curate is not Resident. his Name is James Gayer duly qualified according to ye Canons. his Allowance is thirty Guineas.

  6. Divine service at other churches: No.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform’d in this Parish every Sunday with a sermon both Parts of the Day on solemn Fasts, &c.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament is administred here four Times in the year constantly.

  9. Number of communicants: There are about 44 communicants in this Parish 18 of which usually receive, & I believe about that number receiv’d last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children {are} in this Parish are catechiz’d yearly & by what enquiry I can make, they are all instructed by their Parents or Masters.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no Chapel within the Parish.
